SuperReturn Africa was launched in Cairo in 2010. Research in Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East with LPs indicated a phenomenal growth in interest in private equity on the African continent from those seeking decorrelated returns, and to increase the diversification of their portfolio across emerging markets.
The Cairo conference attracted over 200 delegates include the best managers active on the continent, as well as LPs such as sovereign wealth funds, global funds of funds, family offices and African pension funds.
