
At a recent QAA audit of collaborative provision at Middlesex University, the audit report declared that:
"The audit team regarded the care given to the validation of distance education programmes, which contributes significantly to the assurance of quality in such programmes, as a feature of good practice."

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) exists to assure standards and improve the quality of UK higher education.
The QAA’s responsibility is to safeguard the public interest in sound standards of higher education qualifications, and to encourage continuous improvement in the management of the quality of higher education. This is achieved by reviewing standards and quality, and providing reference points that help to define clear and explicit standards.
