The 10th annual GST Conference: meeting the green technology challenges for sustainable shipping

Attendees took advantage of the information provision & networking opportunities at GST 2012

  • They heard from 100+ expert speakers including senior shipowners and operators
  • Used the 6 technical and operational streams to adapt the event to their needs and achieve lasting benefits
  • Technology provider panels:  practical sessions to allowing attendees to address questions to the technology suppliers for ballast water management systems, scrubbers, performance monitoring tools and paints/coatings
  • They benefited from the many networking events including coffee breaks, lunches, GST Gala Dinner, drinks receptions, speedy networking, breakout sessions and breakfast briefings 
  • Exchanged views, discussed concerns and raised issues with the many stake-holder panels

The Green Ship Technology Awards recognise the contribution that the maritime industry is making towards improving and maintaining the marine environment.  Judged by a panel of leading shipowners, the Awards are presented for the most innovative technology put into use since March 2011 which has shown a benefit to the marine environment.
