Shahrokh has extensive experience with field developments internationally. He is currently involved with the upstream works within the projects group evaluating development options for a number of fields offshore West Africa. A full host of technologies for gas handling are evaluated, including FLNG; CNG; DME and others.
Vincenzo has over 35 years experience within Tecnomare covering positions from Chief Naval Architect to Deputy General Manager. His experience is related to the hydrocarbons fields in particular for the design of Fixed, Compliant and Floating Platforms, SPM’s, FPSO, Steel Gravity Platforms, Production systems for iced infested areas. In addition, he has a specific background in Mooring Systems for ultra deep waters, Model Testing and Marine Operations design. He has been appointed as a Member of the Italian Technical Committees for RINA, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and ABS. He is now engaged with OLT and is responsible for the review of naval and marine design activities of the FSRU to be installed offshore Livorno.
Magnus has an educational background within mechanical engineering and business administration. He has international business experience from companies such as Det Norske Veritas, Wärtsilä, TTS, Ulstein and Rolls-Royce. Magnus has spent the last 15 years engaged in natural gas application, and for the last 5 years focusing on offshore ship-to-ship LNG transfer.
Adrian has responsibility for technical proposals, feasibility studies and Pre-FEEDs as well as development of cryogenic process technology and patents. He has led studies and Pre-FEEDs for many of the energy majors. He has been with Costain twenty-eight years, working mostly on cryogenic gas processing and liquefaction. He has written forty technical papers and holds several patents in cryogenic processing technology. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer (UK) and is a Member of the Management Committee of Gas Processors Association Europe.
Stephen joined Société Générale in 2001 having spent 15 years with Chase Manhattan in various positions in project finance. He has had wide experience of financing natural resources projects with an emphasis on provision of financial advice, in particular to LNG and gas pipeline projects. Stephen has advised on closed financings totalling over $9 billion. Most recently, he led the SG CIB teams that advised on multi-sourced financings for the USD 4.2 billion Qatargas 3 project financing, the USD 950 million Egyptian LNG train 1 and subsequent USD 880 million Train 2 financing. Prior to that he also advised the USD 2.0 billion Oman LNG financing and the Sakhalin II Phase 1 financing. In addition to Egyptian LNG, He is currently advising the Egyptian Refining Company on a $3bn refinery project near Cairo. Prior to entering the banking industry, Mr Craen worked as a petroleum engineer for Shell and Bow Valley Industries. Stephen has a degree in physics from Oxford University.
Guy formed Energy Corporate Finance Ltd in February 2006. The firm focuses purely on the energy industry including Upstream, midstream and downstream. It is involved in developing LNG opportunities including floating solutions for both liquefaction and regasification. Guy has 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, many with JP Morgan Chase, supporting projects in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America. He has been involved with the LNG sector since the early 90s working on multiple liquefaction projects including Oman LNG, RasGas, Egypt LNG, QatarGas, the North Adriatic terminal for Edison, PetroCanada’s prospective investment in Yemen LNG and FPL in Florida.
Steve heads Douglas-Westwood’s oil and gas team and his experience with Douglas-Westwood since 2002 includes managing many commercial due-diligence studies for investment banks and private equity firms, lead author and joint author of several of the firm’s published market studies and participation in DW’s industry-leading research in regions such as Russia and Middle East and technology areas including onshore oilfield services, drilling markets, field development, floating production and subsea processing. Authorship and joint-authorship of published studies includes The Russian Onshore Oilfield Services Market Report, The World Deepwater Market Report, The World LNG Report and The World Floating Production Report. Steve is a graduate in Economics & Computing
David graduated in 1989 from Birmingham University with a Double Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce and has been employed as a Project and Sales Manager within the automotive industry with major OEMs. He subsequently gained experience in ship propulsion through the construction of test-beds for vessel marine diesel engines. He joined Gaztransport & Technigaz in 2004 as Project Manager for Samsung Heavy Industries taking on the responsibility of all project related activities with that yard. He was based on-site in Geoje Island from May 2007 to May 2008 as the senior liaison between SHI and GTT during the construction of the series of Qatari large LNGC. Upon his return to G.T.T. Head Office, he joined the Marketing team as Business Development Director and was appointed to his current role under the new GTT organisation in October 2010.
Paul is also the LNG Practice Leader for Marsh and, as a chemical engineer, is a consultant in project risk management having been involved in many LNG liquefaction projects globally, including FSRU projects. He has conducted recent studies into validity of insuring FLNG FPSOS. Marsh are insurance brokers to the oil and gas industry globally.
Brian has an honours degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College, London and is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK). He has had 40 years experience in the oil and gas industry working for engineering contractors, operators and specialist consultants. He has held senior positions in engineering, projects and sales. He has led engineering and process design teams for gas processing, refinery and petrochemical facilities for various locations world-wide. Currently Brian oversees a variety of LNG projects for both onshore and offshore applications. The offshore applications include floating LNG liquefaction units (F-LNG) and floating storage and regasification units (FSRU). He was previously Engineering Manager with MW Kellogg one of the world’s leading contractors within the LNG industry and Facilities Manager with J Ray McDermott one of the world’s leading offshore contractors. Brian is chairman of the Institution of Chemical Engineers Subject Oil & Natural Gas group which provides technical networking between its members to deliver best practices within the chemical engineering community.
Matthias is working as a process engineer for 8 years including service as Lead Process Engineer for the FLNG project of Linde/SBM, Lead Process Engineer 0.4 MTPA LNG Plant in China, process supervisor and member of the comissioning team of Helison Helium Plant. His current position with Linde in Germany as Senior Lead Process Engineer for LNG and Natural Gas Processing.
Øivin holds a Master Degree in naval architecture. He has been involved in the Neptune LNG Project off the coast of Massachusetts, where LNG shuttle and Regasifications vessels will be applied. He was responsible for the execution of the LNG FPSO FEED being conducted at Höegh LNG with CB&I and DSME as main contractors. Mr. Iversen has worked with development of LNG carriers and floating LNG terminals solutions for more than 12 years. Currently he is responsible for the business development within the LNG FPSO Business Area at Höegh LNG.
Edward has direct responsibility for the for the development, permitting, design, and construction of Excelerate Energy’s LNG importation projects, the commercial and technical development of Excelerate’s Floating Liquefaction (EBLV) program, technical oversight of the company’s existing fleet of 7 Energy Bridge Regasification Vessels, and Excelerate Energy’s ongoing program to continuously evaluate and implement industry leading solutions to minimize the environmental impact of its global operations. Prior to joining Excelerate full time, Ed worked as a technical consultant for the company with primary responsibilities for oversight of the ship construction program at DSME, as well as the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the Gulf Gateway Deep Water Port. Previous industry experience includes the development of a Capital Projects Group for ENSCO International and leading this group in developing complex and technical solutions to industry demands for highly capable and reliable gas E & P assets. This effort included the highly successful design and construction of a new series of deepwater capable semi-submersible drilling platforms.
David has nearly 20 years LNG experience gained through the development of LNG projects in Asia and the Middle East. David provides commercial, financing and strategic support to National and International energy companies globally. He also gives commercial training courses on LNG and is one of the authors for the Oxford Energy Institute’s book “Gas in Asia” published in June 2008 and is currently co-authoring a book in Middle East gas
Paul has 25 years experience in the LNG and Energy industry. Geographically, his career has covered construction and engineering activities in Europe, the Middle East, India, Korea, China, South East Asia and the Americas. He was involved in the development from concept to implementation of LNG projects in British Gas in both liquefaction and regassification. He headed up their FEED group and was instrumental in developing their first grassroots Liquefaction project in Trinidad, Atlantic LNG Train 1 from 1993 to 1998. Working with BG, Whessoe and Worley Parsons, he has undertaken LNG Import and Export (Liquefaction) contracts from Feasibility through EPC implementation, from both client and contractor perspective; managing and directing multi-disciplinary contracts in worldwide multi-cultural environments.
Graham leads LNG & Gas Consulting activities for Poten & Partners in London. He has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industries. He began his career in the oil and gas exploration sector and has subsequently worked in a variety of upstream and downstream roles in a wide range of countries across the globe. Previously he was Vice President with Nexant, following spells with Bechtel and Halliburton. He has been active in the LNG industry for over 15 years advising buyers, sellers, project developers and governments around the world.
Excelerate Energy is a developer of floating LNG importation infrastructure, a provider of LNG storage and regasification services and an LNG trader. Stephen’s responsibilities include the origination, development, negotiation and delivery of Excelerate’s floating LNG importation projects. Prior to joining Excelerate Energy Stephen worked at National Grid where he was part of the project team responsible for the development and delivery of Phases 2 and 3 of the Grain LNG terminal in the UK. Stephen graduated from University College Dublin in 2001 with a First Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
David has held this position since 2006 and during this time Advent identified the shale gas potential in the onshore Bonaparte Basin in the north of Australia and pioneered exploration of the offshore Sydney Basin. He is also Chairman of Grandbridge Ltd and BPH Energy Ltd, and an Executive Director of MEC Resources Ltd. He has extensive experience in transaction structuring, corporate advisory and funding for listed and unlisted companies. He has also held executive, consulting and/or board positions across a range of stockbroking companies. David has provided Independent Experts reports for asset valuation under the provisions of the Australian Securities Exchange Rules and Corporations Law. He has also published in the Australian Securities Industry Journal on resource valuation and is a co-author of an EGU paper. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and an MBA, and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and the Institute of Company Directors of Australia.
Robert is based in Houston and is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s offshore development projects in the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea. He served 19 years with Getty/Texaco in the US Gulf Coast and in the UK. He has been with ATP Oil & Gas since 2001. He managed ATP’s first deepwater development, the Gomez Floating Production Facility in 3000 ft WD. Following Gomez, he managed the Telemark Hub development in 4000 ft WD featuring the design and building of the first MinDOC floating platform. Currently, he is managing the Cheviot project in the UK North Sea which will feature the first ever Octabuoy floating platform and also is working on ATP’s own proprietary floating LNG concept. He holds a B.S., M. Eng. and D. Eng. degrees in mechanical engineering from Texas A & M University.
Sandra is dual qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an attorney in South Africa. She specialises in projects and commercial contracts and project finance and high-value asset-backed financings with a focus on the oil and gas and LNG sectors, advising, amongst others, international corporations, including oil and gas and energy services companies, E&P contractors and construction yards, and financial institutions and investors in relation to floating oil and gas and LNG projects and other offshore energy projects.
