The Control Rooms Conference is the only pan-European industry focused event for CR professionals.
The conference examined the latest in design, operation and management of control rooms. It promoted discussion and interactive learning between different industries, addressing operational concerns, design trends, human factors and the effects of cost constraints.

Four practical sessions focusing on preparing for the unexpected covered:
- How prepared are you for an emergency? Disaster and emergency recovery procedures
- Case studies on recent disasters and the impact on CR operations
- Role play scenario and de-brief on transformations which occur in a control room, examining the Civil Contingencies Act, police support and the operator's role
- Debate on how lessons learned can be applied to CR design, safety and management
