Braemar Falconer provides technical, survey and consultancy services for the marine and energy sector. Operating from offices in Singapore, London, South East Asia, Australia, and the Americas, they offer a comprehensive and wide-ranging service to P&I Clubs, insurers, lawyers, ship owners and operators, oil companies, underwriters and brokers.

Allan Ashby has a Masters Degree in Marine Cargo Damage Investigation from Middlesex University, a Diploma in Marine Surveying, and a Higher National Diploma in Nautical Studies. He also holds a Certificate of Competency Class 2 as First Mate (FG), and served at sea for 8 years up to the rank of Chief Officer before coming ashore as a Marine Surveyor in 1984. He lived for many years in the Middle East and South Africa before returning to the UK in 2000, working in the maritime sector as a Surveyor and Consultant to P&I Clubs, lawyers, ship owners, charterers and underwriters. He is now a Senior Marine Surveyor with Braemar Falconer in London.
