Michael Birt, Chief Bailiff, Royal Courts Of Jersey, will give an address that will indicate the latest international case decisions from Jersey and issues on Reflective Loss.

This panel will go through how to cope with a fractured family and the step-by-step guidelines when litigation fails - the advantage of mediation. The panel will also look at the psychology of conflict and how to diffuse family anxieties.

The following session will bring a multi-jurisdictional debate which will focus on resolving conflict through different legal structures such as Sharia Law and Civil Law jurisdictions.

This panel will go through the changes to the Hastings Bass mistake precedent.
