Qualifications
Applicants for the King’s College Postgraduate Diplomas/Masters must hold
Applications may also be accepted from a candidate who has achieved a comparative academic level through his or her past studies and where previous study, work or experience has made the applicant a suitable candidate for admission.
English: applicants for whom English is not their mother tongue should provide evidence of having attained a level of English, both written and spoken, adequate to meet the demands of the course. English IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in all four skills or TOEFL computer/paper/internet – 267/630+5.0 TWE/109.
How do I enrol?
Students interested in joining the course should complete the application form for admission as a postgraduate student attached to this brochure and send to Miriam Gurska, Distance Learning Organiser at Informa Professional Academy .Ths list of supporting documentation required is outlined at the bottom of this page. These items MUST be included as hard copies with your application, or your application will not be processed by King's College.
Once you have applied for the course, your application and supporting documents will be sent to King’s College London for review by the Course Director. King’s College London will then notify you directly with the outcome of your application. Once you have formally accepted your place you will be invoiced for your course fee. Full payment is required before the start date of the course or within 28 days of receipt of your invoice, whichever is sooner. Payments should be made out to Informa UK Limited.
Please note, non-payment of your course fees will result in materials, results and other related services provided by King's College London and Informa being withheld. King's College London also reserves the right to suspend debtors from study and the examination.
Admission to the course requires the prior approval of the Director(s) of the Centre of European Law, King’s College London. The deadline for sending in completed applications is 1st September 2010. The organisers cannot guarantee that late applications will be processed. Fees should be paid before the start of the course. What do the courses cost?
The Postgraduate Diploma fee including course materials, access to the course website and on-line facilities at King’s College, attendance at seminars, marking of compulsory coursework and the examination is:
EU Competition Law: £4300 (VAT Exempt). If you only wish to study the units and do not wish to take the examination or attend the seminars, the fee for this interest only option will be £3300 (VAT Exempt). (Please note you will not gain the award of Postgraduate Diploma with this option).
Economics for Competition Law: £4300 (VAT Exempt). If you only wish to study the units and do not wish to take the examination or attend the seminars, the fee for this interest only option will be £3300 (VAT Exempt). (Please note you will not gain the award of Postgraduate Diploma with this option).
European Union Law: £3900 (VAT Exempt). If you only wish to study the units and do not wish to take the examination or attend the seminars, the fee for this interest only option will be £2900 (VAT Exempt). (Please note you will not gain the award of Postgraduate Diploma with this option).
UK, EU &US Copyright Law: £4120 (VAT Exempt). If you only wish to study the units and do not wish to take the examination or attend the seminars, the fee for this interest only option will be £3120 (VAT Exempt). (Please note you will not gain the award of Postgraduate Diploma with this option).
Full payment of fees is required before the start of the course (ie by Friday 1st October 2010) or within 30 days of receipt of your invoice. Non-payment of fees will result in the withholding of course materials.

Air Courier Charges
An additional fee of £250 (VAT exempt) is payable for students who wish to receive their materials and welcome pack by air courier. This is recommended for students who experience delays in receiving their post due to poor postal services in their area. Other overseas mail will be sent by airmail. Materials will also be available as pdf documents on the course website.
Materials sent by air courier will be delivered to your requested unit mailing address between 8.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday only and a signature will be required. The mailing address you provide must be manned during these hours. Please provide a contact phone number or email address that you can be reached at between 8.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be received in writing before the start of the course. Cancellations will not be actioned until written notification has been received. Cancellations received in this manner will receive a full refund less an administrative charge of £200. Refunds for cancellations made after 1st October 2010 will not be given.
A special note about distribution of the units
Every effort will be made to distribute the materials at the rate specified. However, occasionally, certain unforeseen circumstances may delay the dispatch of a unit, which are outside the control of the organisers. In these rare circumstances, we would encourage students to use blackboard on the course website to view the pdf documents.
Solicitors Regulation Authority Accreditation
These courses have been accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) with up to 100% of your CPD requirements (Ref EV/LSSL). The courses have also been accredited 15 hours Bar CPD. For all enquiries regarding CPD please quote registered company name Informa UK Limited.
This contract is subject to English Law.
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the line-up of authors or course content, however, every effort will be made to adhere to the published syllabus.
The courses will run subject to reaching a satisfactory intake to the courses.
